National Park Collection
Experience the history and romance of America's national parks. Since the early 1900s, Pendleton has honored American national parks with a collection of distinctive blankets. Each blanket has a Pendleton label confirming authenticity and features a special woven label with the park name and image of a key natural feature. The historical symbols and colors go back to the traditional trading posts. At that time, fur traders weighed the blankets and paid the equivalent in furs. They raised a finger for every pound. The original blankets had three, four or five black stripes, which were used to determine the value of the blanket. The different colors and variants of the stripes of the time were adapted in the collection based on the characteristics of each park. Today, the blankets are still woven in the century-old mill in the Pacific Northwest - just as they were over 100 years ago. Pendleton is proud to support the National Park Foundation, the official charity of America's national parks. So far, more than $800,000 has been donated, thanks to customers like you.
Glacier National Park Collection
Glacier National Park is also known as the “Crown of the Continent.” A pristine glacier, forests, alpine meadows, rugged mountains and spectacular lakes characterize this national park. The Glacier National Park collection was the first collection of its kind and was launched in 1916. Based on the design of the national park, Pendleton has launched a dog collection together with the Carolina Pet Company.
